About

My Super Future

At My Super Future we provide professional, ethical and quality financial advice and education. Our primary purpose is to assist our clients to achieve their financial goals and objectives. We provide advice in a wide range of areas, whilst at our core we are superannuation and retirement experts.

My Super Future is part of the IFAA group of financial services companies that focus on superannuation administration services, financial planning services, industry compliance, technology solutions and financial and accounting management.

How we can help you

At My Super Future we first spend time simplifying the complex and confusing nature of areas such as superannuation and investment markets, before determining what your goals are. We then formulate and tailor a plan to help you achieve these goals. This plan then becomes a road map to reaching your destination - financial security. We can also help you to implement the advice we provide by assisting with any complex paperwork that may be involved and we are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have along the way.

At My Super Future we service a range of clients from all stages of life including:

  • Young wealth accumulating couples.
  • Middle aged clients looking to boost their superannuation savings.
  • Pre-retirees looking to transition to part time work.
  • Retirees wanting to plan their lifestyle throughout retirement.

Plan ahead

Each stage of life needs special consideration and planning: time and time again we witness the positive difference a well managed financial plan can make to a person’s life. Taking control of your finances and planning ahead can enable you to achieve your goals, ensuring you can build a lifestyle you can enjoy with an optimal level of protection and confidence.

Clients

Our client base primarily consists of members of industry superannuation funds with whom we have contractual arrangements (such as both QIEC Super and Club Super) and for this reason, My Super Future also trades as ‘QIEC Financial Planning’ and ‘Club Super Financial Planning’. We are also able to provide advice to any other client who may not be a member of these superannuation funds.

Advice Services

Online Advice

My Super Future offers automated or digital personal advice through the ‘YourSuperFuture Tool’ available to QIEC Super and Club Super members via their Member Online portal.

General Advice

General advice is advice that does not take your personal circumstances into account and does not require a written advice document to be provided. This service is available over the phone for members of superannuation funds with whom we have a contractual arrangement to provide advice, such as QIEC Super and Club Super members. General advice can include:

  • Information regarding the superannuation or income stream account involved.
  • Basic rules regarding superannuation or income streams.
  • Types of superannuation contributions and contribution caps.
  • Preservation ages.
  • Conditions of release from superannuation.

Intra-fund Advice

Intra-fund advice covers simple superannuation topics only. This advice service is available over the phone for members of superannuation funds with whom we have a contractual arrangement to provide advice, such as QIEC Super and Club Super. This advice can include:

  • Contributions into superannuation.
  • Insurance within superannuation or income stream accounts.
  • Investment choice within superannuation or income stream accounts.
  • Superannuation and income stream death benefit nominations and a basic estate planning review.
  • Transferring superannuation to an income stream account at retirement.

Intra-fund advice generally requires one phone appointment only and a written advice document will be provided via post or email.

Comprehensive Advice

Comprehensive advice can include the above Intra-fund topics together with more complex advice and is generally provided in a face-to-face appointment. We are able to provide this service over the phone to clients who are not located near our office. Our comprehensive advice can cover topics such as the following:

  • Superannuation and Retirement Planning
  • Insurance Planning
  • Investment Planning
  • Estate Planning
  • Debt Planning
  • Centrelink Planning

Comprehensive advice generally requires two face-to-face appointments. The first appointment is used to gather the relevant information to prepare the advice and the second appointment is used to explain the advice and strategy and assist to implement the advice provided.

Review of Advice

Our clients have the option to sign up for formal reviews by entering into a fixed ongoing service arrangement. Alternatively, you have the option of choosing to contact us directly when you deem appropriate or when you require new advice.

Implementation and Execution Only

My Super Future provides implementation services to all clients who require assistance with completing, lodging and following up paperwork to implement the advice we have provided.

We can also provide an ‘execution only’ service where we carry out instructions that you give to us, without us having provided you with any personal advice (e.g. lodging documents on your behalf).

Fees

My Super Future operates on a ‘Fee for Service’ basis. Our fees are not driven by shareholder or company profit incentives and our Financial Planners receive a fixed salary with no bonuses payable for any product or performance related sales targets.

Online Advice, General Advice and Intra-fund Advice

The cost of these services are paid for with the administration fees charged by QIEC Super or Club Super, which means that QIEC Super or Club Super members do not pay any additional out-of-pocket fees.

Comprehensive Advice

Initial appointments for comprehensive advice are complimentary and obligation free.

If part of the advice is related to a QIEC Super or Club Super account, then part of the cost of this service may be paid for with the administration fees charged by QIEC Super or Club Super, resulting in only a partial out-of-pocket fee. The out-of-pocket fee for comprehensive advice will depend on the complexity of the advice being provided and can range anywhere from $330 to $3,300 (including GST), with the average out-of-pocket fee being around $550 (including GST).

If the advice relates to superannuation then any out-of-pocket fee can be deducted from an eligible superannuation account, otherwise the fee must be paid directly via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or cheque.

Review of Advice

There will be an out-of-pocket fee involved for a Review of Advice which will be agreed upon in advance and will depend on the level of service to be provided over the relevant period. If the advice relates to superannuation then the out-of-pocket fee can be deducted from an eligible superannuation account, otherwise the fee must be paid directly via EFT or cheque.

Implementation and Execution Only

Our implementation and execution only fees range from $55 to $550 (including GST). The fee charged will depend on the complexity of work involved. Both types of fees will be out-of-pocket fees and cannot be deducted from a superannuation account, they are required to be paid directly via EFT or cheque.
